Terms and Conditions: LA Client Referral Promotion – New South Wales

1. Promotion Overview

The “LA Client Referral Promotion” (“Promotion”) is a trade promotion lottery (game of chance) conducted by Lending Association Group Holdings Pty Ltd ABN 33 687 304 392 (“the Promoter”). Participants are Eligible Entrants (as defined below) who meet the Entry Conditions during the Promotion Period. Participants will enter a random draw for a chance to win a cash prize of $25,000 each – to the existing referring client and the new client being referred.

The draw is limited to the first one hundred and fifty (150) Eligible Settlements (as defined below) during the Promotion Period (“Cap”). Once the Cap is reached, no further entries will be accepted, even if additional referrals or settlements occur. 

This Promotion is run to promote the services of the Promoter. Entry is free (other than standard communication costs).

This Promotion does not change, and must not be represented as changing, any credit assistance, recommendation, assessment, approval likelihood, timeframes, or lender decisioning.


2. Promotion Period

The Promotion begins at 12:01 AM AEST on Friday 1st May 2026 and ends at 11:59 PM AEST on Friday 18th December 2026. The prize draw will occur on Monday 21st December 2026.

For avoidance of doubt:

  • Referrals must be submitted during the Promotion Period; and
  • Eligible Settlements must occur during the Promotion Period (and within the Cap).


3. Eligibility

Entry is open to residents of New South Wales, Australia, aged 18 years or older.

Employees, contractors, and their immediate family members of the Promotor and its related bodies corporate (as defined in the Corporations Act 2001(Cth)) are not eligible to participate.

Participants must provide accurate and complete details when referring a client.

  • “Existing Client Referrer” means an individual who is a current client of the Promoter at the time the referral is submitted.
  • “Referred Client” means an individual who is referred to the Promoter under this Promotion.
  • “New Client” means an individual who, at the time the referral is submitted, has not previously: (i) settled a loan through the Promoter; or (ii) had an active application being managed by the Promoter within the prior [24] months; and is not already recorded in the Promoter’s CRM as an active lead or client. The Promoter may determine New Client status acting reasonably.
  • “Eligible Settlement” means a loan settlement for a New Client facilitated through the Promoter, occurring during the Promotion Period, and counted toward the Cap (first 150 only).
  • “Eligible Entrant” means an Existing Client Referrer and/or a Referred Client who meets these Terms and Conditions.


4. How to Enter

To enter, an Existing Client Referrer must submit a referral during the Promotion Period by scanning the QR code and entering the Referred Client’s name, phone number and email address.

By submitting a referral, the Existing Client Referrer warrants that they have obtained the Referred Client’s prior express consent to: (a) provide the Referred Client’s personal information to the Promoter for this Promotion; and (b) the Promoter sending the Referred Client a consentconfirmation message about the referral.

The referred client will receive an email notification, asking them to confirm whether they consent to being contacted by the Promoter. The Promoter will not contact the Referred Client about the Promoter’s services unless and until the Referred Client confirms consent.

Entry condition:

  • One (1) entry will be allocated if, and only if: (i) the Referred Client confirms consent; and (ii) the Referred Client is a New Client; and (iii) the Referred Client’s loan becomes an Eligible Settlement during the Promotion Period; and (iv) that Eligible Settlement is within the first 150 Eligible Settlements (Cap).

 

Each valid referral equals one entry into the draw. Multiple referrals are permitted.

  • Multiple entries: An Existing Client Referrer may earn multiple entries for multiple Eligible Settlements, subject to the Cap. A Referred Client may only be associated with one (1) Existing Client Referrer for the purposes of this Promotion (first valid referral received). The Promoter may verify eligibility and reject duplicate or conflicting referrals.
  • Cap: Entries are allocated in settlement date/time order for the first 150 Eligible Settlements recorded during the Promotion Period. Once the Cap is reached, the Promoter will stop allocating entries.


5. Prize

There will be two winners receiving a cash prize of $25,000 each ($50,000 total)

  • One is the Existing Client Referrer who refers the family/friend who is successfully drawn.
  • One is the Referred Client, whose number is successfully drawn on the draw date

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for other goods or services.

  • Prize payment: Each prize will be paid by electronic funds transfer (EFT) into an Australian bank account nominated by each winner within [10] business days of the Promoter verifying eligibility and receiving all required details.
  • Tax: Winners are responsible for any tax implications associated with the prize.


6. Prize Draw and Notification

The draw will take place at Lending Associations Head Office at 2 Birmingham St, Alexandria NSW 2015 on Monday 21st December at 12pm.

The draw will be conducted at random using an electronic random draw system that produces an auditable record of the draw result.

The winner will be notified via email and phone within two (2) business days of the draw.

If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the draw, or does not claim the prize within 90 days of the draw, the prize will be deemed unclaimed and a redraw will be conducted at 12:00pm AEST on Monday 23 March 2027 at 2 Birmingham St, Alexandria NSW 2015 using the same draw method.


7. Announcement and Publicity

All entrants who hold a number in the random draw (1-150), will receive an email within three business days of the draw taking place notifying them of the results of the draw and who the winner was.

 

  • Winner publication: The winners’ first name and suburb (or postcode) may be published on the Promoter’s website (www.lendingassociation.com.au) and may be shared via the Promoter’s social media channels for the purpose of announcing the result. By entering, entrants consent to this publication. If a winner does not consent to publication, the Promoter may instead publish a deidentified announcement (e.g., initials and suburb/postcode) to the extent permitted by law and any authority conditions.


8. General Conditions

The Promoter reserves the right to validate all entries and disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, provides false or misleading information, submits a referral without the Referred Client’s consent, or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions.

Incomplete, fraudulent, erroneous, or illegible entries will not be accepted.

The Promoter is not responsible for technical, network, hardware, software, or communication issues that may affect entry.

Change / cancellation: If this Promotion cannot run as planned due to events beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may amend, suspend, or cancel the Promotion, subject to any requirements of the relevant authority and applicable law.

The Promotion is conducted under the laws of New South Wales, Australia.


9. Privacy

Personal information collected will be used to administer this Promotion and to contact the Referred Client only where the Referred Client has confirmed consent, and will otherwise be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (Privacy Statement – Lending Association).

If an Existing Client Referrer provides the Referred Client’s personal information, the Existing Client Referrer confirms they have obtained the Referred Client’s consent to do so.


10. Disputes

If an entrant has a dispute or complaint relating to this Promotion, the entrant must first contact the Promoter in writing using the contact details set out in these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter will acknowledge the complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 15 business days.

If the entrant is not satisfied with the outcome, the entrant may request an internal review, which will be undertaken by a senior representative of the Promoter not directly involved in administering the Promotion. The Promoter will provide a written response within 10 business days of the escalation request.

If the dispute remains unresolved, either party may propose that the matter be referred to mediation conducted in New South Wales by an independent mediator. Each party will bear its own costs of participating in mediation, and the mediator’s costs will be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.

If the dispute is not resolved through mediation, either party may commence proceedings in the courts of New South Wales. This Promotion and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

This dispute resolution process does not limit any entrant’s rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
